Getting started

How do I add my first item?

There are two ways to get started. Quick start — pick a room type and jump straight in. Or take the full setup path — name your project, add all your rooms, set individual budgets, then start adding items. Either way, once you're in a room, paste a product URL into the Add Item field and SpendFrame will automatically fetch the name, price, and image. If a URL can't be accessed, a manual entry form appears instead.

Which Australian retailers are supported?

SpendFrame works with the majority of Australian retailers including Temple & Webster, IKEA, Bunnings, Freedom, Kmart, Adairs, Reece, Beacon Lighting, Appliances Online, ABI Interiors, Beaumont Tiles, and many more. We're continuously expanding our coverage.

What if the URL doesn't work?

Some retailer websites restrict how their product data can be accessed. When that happens, SpendFrame will show you a manual entry form so you can add the item yourself. It takes about 20 seconds.

Can I add items manually without a URL?

Yes. You can always add items manually — just enter the name, price, and optionally an image URL or upload. Manual items work exactly the same as scraped items on the mood board and in the budget.

How it works

How does the checklist work?

When creating a room you can choose to enable a checklist. This gives you a list of items to source for that room — think of it as your shopping brief. As you find and add a product link for each item, it replaces the checklist placeholder and becomes a real item on your mood board and in your budget.

What's the difference between Selected and Shortlisted?

Selected items count toward your room budget total. Shortlisted items are saved for consideration but don't affect the budget. This lets you keep options visible without committing to them.

How does the budget calculate?

Your room budget is the total of all selected items. You set the budget when you create a room and the tracker updates in real time as you add or change items. You can edit the budget at any time.

Can I have multiple rooms in one project?

Yes. Each project can contain as many rooms as you need. You can use preset room types to get started quickly, or name them whatever suits your build.

Can I run multiple projects at once?

Yes. SpendFrame supports multiple projects — useful if you're managing several builds, working across different clients, or planning different spaces separately.

Account & pricing

Is free really free?

Yes. The free tier includes unlimited projects, rooms, items, and full access to all mood board layouts and budget tracking. No time limit, no credit card required.

How does SpendFrame make money?

SpendFrame is free to use. We earn a small referral commission when you buy an item through a link in your project. Links may include an affiliate tag, but they always point to the same retailer, same product, and same price. We never change what you see or what you pay.
